Me and the boys have recently got back from a swift recording trip to LA. Out there we were fortunate enough to work with some real cool dudes in some great studios.
We're really pleased with the results and have come home with some fresh, exciting and interesting sounding tunes.
We didn't really get any time at all to get out and about or enjoy the LA sunshine as we spent almost all of the time in windowless, air conditioned studios, but of course we did manage to squeeze in a few brief excursions to the nearby bars in West Hollywood where we were staying. We we're also lucky enough to get shown around the legendary "Sunset Sound" studios where the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Stones, The Doors and Prince recorded some of there best shit. Check out the snaps...
Also on this trip I experienced my first earthquake (or tremor technically I'm told, but earthquake sounds more exciting). It happened in the middle of the night and I considered jumping out of my second story window to get out of the building, which at the time I believed was going to collapse and crush me to death. This apparently would have been slighty extreme.
We did a bit of filming out there so look out for the podcast which will be up soon.
We're now back in the Cherry Lips Recording Facility cracking on with the rest of the album, nose to the grindstone as it were.
We'll keep you posted on progress.
